Natalie Lender, MD

Partner and Chief Medical Officer

Natalie L. Lender, MD is a psycho-pharmacologist and Certified in the practice of Psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Natalie Lender received her medical degree from the Moscow State Medical University (Moscow, Russia). She later graduated from the psychiatric residency-training program at TUFTS University (Boston, MA) in 1998.

Dr. Lender worked as attending psychiatrist at Bournewood Hospital located in Metro Boston, where she practiced general psychiatry and specialized in drug and alcohol addiction treatment.

Dr. Natalie Lender formed Square Medical Group in 2008 and has since developed the practice into a valuable resource for the Greater Boston community. Dr. Lender’s experience includes co-occurring substance use and mental disorders. Dr. Lender also has 20 years of experience in person-centered treatment and program development. She is certified to provide Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).

Dr. Lender designs and implements patient care strategy for patients at Square Medical Group. She is most passionate about developing the next phase in integrative care for dual-diagnosis and substance abuse patients.

Jeff Gershman is the Chief Executive Officer for Square Medical Group and has held this position since 2011. Jeff graduated from New York University’s Stern School of Business with a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting. After working in Investment Banking and Healthcare Startups Jeff joined Square Medical Group to help the founder, Dr. Natalie Lender, build her vision for a community focused mental health/substance abuse agency.

Brad Greenstein

Partner and Chief Operating Officer

Brad Greenstein is a partner and serves as the Chief Operating Officer of Square Medical Group. In his capacity as COO, he oversees TMS, PHP/IOP, and Residential operations along with business development and merger and acquisition opportunities.

Mr. Greenstein has over 20 years of experience in the behavioral health industry with a focus on leadership, operations, reimbursement strategies, and business development. He has extensive experience with startup organizations, and multi-state systems, as well as program development and new business line expansions.

Mr. Greenstein previously served as the New England Regional Director & CEO of the Boston Center for Addiction Treatment for Recovery Centers of America, Inc. (RCA). He was a part of the original management team tasked with creating the overall business plan for RCA and securing over $300M in private equity funding through Deerfield Management in New York, NY.
Prior to RCA, he served as Senior Vice President of Business Development for Spectrum Health Systems, a comprehensive behavioral healthcare system with operations in multiple states and revenue in excess of $60M.

Mr. Greenstein has also served as the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Las Vegas Recovery Center and was involved with the initial startup team which developed the nationally recognized substance abuse treatment agency.

Mr. Greenstein has served on the board of a number of community and national non-profit agencies including Foundation for Recovery, Inc. and PACT Coalition for Safe and Drug-Free Communities. He was also appointed by the State of Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval to serve on the State of Nevada Mental Health Planning and Advisory Council along with the State of Nevada Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Advisory Board. He also previously served on the National Advisory Board of SelfRefind, a growing multistate office-based opioid treatment (OBOT) provider.

Vice President of Quality and Compliance

Elaine Stark, Vice President of Quality and Compliance, joined Square Medical Group in 2014. Elaine has worked for government, and both profit and non-profit organizations, in clinical and administrative positions. Prior to coming to Square, Elaine was the Executive Director at Boston Institute for Psychotherapy (BIP), for ten years and served as Chief Administrative Officer for New England Psychiatric Consultants, P.C. (NEPC) for 12 years. She brings significant expertise and experience in contract procurement and administration, program development, Federal and state regulations, as well as healthcare accreditation requirements. Elaine earned a BA from Assumption College with a double major in Psychology and Social Rehabilitation and a Master of Liberal Arts degree from Harvard University with a concentration in Psychology.

HR Generalist

Youlita Cohen serves as an HR generalist for Square Medical Group, where she lends her notable experience in human resource planning, employee benefits, payroll administration, and compliance logistics. She holds a Master’s degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Cultural Anthropology which gives her unique insights into the behavior of employees in the workplace. Prior to her HR Generalist role, Youlita was responsible for a variety of HR functional areas at a diverse assortment of companies ranging from 15 to 3000 employees in the industries of medical manufacturing services, home services, and human services.

Giovanni “Gio” Marinelli

TMS Director

Giovanni “Gio” Marinelli, Director of TMS (Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation), joined Square Medical Group in the beginning of 2019. Giovanni earned a BA in Psychology at UMass Boston and continued his education there to earn his MBA in Healthcare Administration & Entrepreneurship. After completing an internship for the MA Committee on Healthcare Financing while pursuing his MBA, Gio realized his appreciation for the healthcare industry and its potential for innovation. In his role as Director of TMS, Gio continues his interest in healthcare innovation by focusing on facilitating and growing the operations of the TMS division efficiently in order to help make this innovative treatment for depression available to those who need it.

Billing Manager

Robin Pape, Billing Manager. Robin joined Square Medical Group in January 2014. She brings many years of medical billing experience to Square. Robin has worked for small and large mental health practices in the South Shore area. As a result of these experiences, she brings with her the knowledge of a variety of medical software programs.

Robin is able to keep up with the ever-changing landscape of medical billing by taking part in webinars and meetings hosted by insurance companies. This knowledge helps her to work through billing challenges and support our patients from a business perspective.

Thomas Healey, LICSW

Clinical Director

Tom Healey is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker and is the Clinical Director at Square Medical Group. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and English from the University of Massachusetts at Boston as well as a Masters degree in Social Work from Salem State University.

Tom has over 30 years’ experience in the counseling and mental health field providing group, individual, family and couples counseling. He has worked in, and consulted to schools, clinics, programs, and a variety of corporations. Tom has also been the Director of two adventure therapy programs and the Clinical Director of a multi-site urban outpatient treatment clinic.

At Square Tom is responsible for oversight and supervision of clinical operations. He is responsible for designing programs using research based best practices that deliver the highest quality of therapeutic services to our clients. Tom also holds faculty appointments at The Boston College School of Social Work and at The Winston School of Education and Social Policy at Merrimack College.

David R. Selden, LICSW has over 40 years’ experience in the field of behavioral health. In addition to his work as a clinician, he has served as supervisor, executive level manager and consultant to local and national programs providing mental health, substance use and co-occurring disorder treatment services to teens and adults. In addition to his responsibilities at Square Medical Group, he also maintains a private clinical and consulting practice in Salem, Massachusetts and is adjunct faculty at Salem State University in the departments of Social Work and Counseling Psychology.

Kenneth Adelman, MD

Psychiatrist

Dr. Adelman is a board-certified psychiatrist with over 25 years of clinical experience working with adolescents and adults. He obtained his MD at Temple University and his residency training at UCLA in 1992 before moving on to hold faculty positions at University of Michigan, Tufts University, University of Massachusetts and Boston University. Since moving to the Boston area in 1996 he has held clinical and administrative positions in hospital and outpatient settings in both the public and private sector. His areas of interest include neuroeconomics, Darwinian medicine, cognitive neuroscience and psychiatric informatics. At Square, he seeks to leverage his diverse experience and interests to develop individualized, understandable and achievable plans of care for his patients.

Dr. Adelman joined Square Medical Group in 2018 and sees patients at their Watertown location. He is certified to provide buprenorphine treatment and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).

Cynthia S. Carter, MD is Certified in the practice of Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and has over 35 years of clinical experience.. She received a Bachelor of Science from Howard University in Washington, DC and medical degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She received psychiatric training at Yale University with an emphasis in Addictions and Forensic Psychiatry. She completed a Fellowship in Forensic Psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University.

Her areas of interest include Addictions (she is certified in the prescription of Suboxone), the interface between Law and Psychiatry, Mood Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Psychotic Disorders, Eating Disorders, Women’s Issues, psychopharmacology and Cross-Cultural Issues. She speaks English and Haitian Creole. Dr. Carter sees Square Medical Group patients in the Watertown office. She is certified to provide Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).

Cynthia Carter, MD

Miles Cunningham

Psychiatrist

Miles G. Cunningham earned a PhD from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1993 specializing in neural transplantation and developmental neurobiology. He earned an MD from Harvard Medical School in 1995 with a special interest in neuropsychiatry and behavioral neurology. During medical school he founded Asniya, a philanthropic program designed to introduce medicine and teach preventative care to Native American children living on remote and underprivileged reservations. Dr. Cunningham completed his residency training at the Massachusetts General and McLean Hospitals, and he is the founder and principle investigator of an independent scientific initiative, The Laboratory for Neural Reconstruction, in which emotional circuitry and psychopathology are studied via precision engraftment of genetically engineered neural cells. He is the inventor of numerous research devices and methods as well as human instrumentation for restorative neurosurgery. Dr. Cunningham is board-certified in adult psychiatry, and he completed a fellowship in Behavioral Neurology and Neuropsychiatry at McLean Hospital. He has served as a staff physician at McLean Hospital since 2001 where he treats patients with diverse psychiatric disorders including addiction. Dr. Cunningham has been on staff at Square Medical Group in Watertown since 2014 as a certified buprenorphine provider offering patients his expertise in psychopharmacology and brief eclectic psychotherapy.

Alan Fisch

Psychiatrist

Alan Fisch, MD has been working in the mental health field for many years as practitioner and educator. He taught trainees in psychopharmacology at Metrowest Medical Center, and  Tufts Medical School; and Family Therapy at the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital  in Boston, as well as psychiatry residents.

Dr. Fisch is Board Certified in Psychiatry and recently became a Diplomate in the American Board of Addiction Medicine and a Fellow in the American Society of Addiction Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Fisch has served as consultant to area clinics and practitioner in the areas of group and family therapy as well as addiction medicine.

Dr. Fisch gives back to his community as former Commissioner in the Commission for the Arts, local Neighborhood Association Welcoming Committee, and local  Mental Health Community Council. He gives fascinating historic tours of the Boston Public Library, Copley Square, and for relaxation he plays the baritone  Saxophone in a 9-piece jazz band, Six O’clock Jump.



Alan Fisch

Alexander Kozlovsky

Psychiatrist

Alexander Kozlovsky, M.D. earned his M.D. at St. Petersburg State Medical University in St. Petersburg, Russia in 1987. He first completed his residency training in Psychiatry at Bekhterev Psychoneurology Institute in St. Petersburg in 1990, and then at Boston University Medical Center in 2000 and is Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry & Neurology.  

He served as an Attending Psychiatrist, Clinical Instructor and then as an Assistant Clinical Professor at New England Medical Center.  
Dr. Kozlovsky worked as the Medical Director for Arbour-HRI Hospital in Brookline and later as the Medical Director for Adult In-Patient Psychiatry Service at North Shore Medical Center in Salem, Massachusetts.  

In 2007, Dr. Kozlovsky joyed Psychological Care Associates, a private group practice in Woburn, Massachusetts providing psychopharmacological evaluation and management for general adult population.  

As of May 2021, Dr. Kozlovsky has become a staff member at Square Medical Group. 

Gregory Labun

Psychiatrist

Dr. Gregory Labun is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Tufts University Medical School, Board Certified in Adult Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He completed his Residency training in psychiatry at Tufts Medical Center.

Dr. Labun has special interest and expertise in Psychopharmacology and Addiction and Forensic Psychiatry. He has years of clinical experience working with patients undergoing court-ordered forensic evaluations on an inpatient basis. He has administrative and leadership experience serving as a Medical Director of an Acute Inpatient Psychiatric Unit. Dr. Labun has provided numerous forensic consultations in civil commitments and guardianship cases as an Independent Medical Examiner / Expert Witness in his private practice.

Dr. Labun sees patients at Square Medical Group, in both Watertown and Weymouth, for general psychiatric and addiction issues. Dr. Labun is certified to provide Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) treatment.

Dr. Susan Stern is an Internal Medicine physician, specializing in Addiction Medicine and Behavioral Health. She earned her BA from Princeton University and her MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. She completed residency training at Tufts New England Medical Center and The Cambridge Hospital. Dr. Stern is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She has been licensed to practice in MA since 1997.

Dr. Stern has practiced at Harvard University Health Services and Physicians Healthy Weight Center in NH. She joined Square Medical Group in March of 2018 at the Watertown location. Her areas of interest include Women’s Health and Eating Disorders in addition to her work with Substance Use Disorder patients where she brings a compassionate approach to health and wellness. She is certified to provide buprenorphine treatment.

Sean Markey, EdD

Psychologist

Sean Markey, Ed.D. is a Massachusetts licensed psychologist with a professional interest in psychological testing and diagnosis. Dr. Markey earned his doctorate at American International College. He completed his pre-doctoral internship through the State of Connecticut’s Department of Children and Families, and his post-doctoral internship at Arbour-Fuller Hospital in South Attleboro, MA. He worked in private practice in Worcester from 2011 to 2017, joined Square Medical Group part time in 2016 and full time in 2017. He sees patients at the Watertown location. Dr. Markey performs neuropsychological evaluations with special attention to frontal lobe functioning and is interested in diagnostically relevant concepts such as free will vs. determinism, complex behavioral patterns vs. diseases, and psychological vs. medical diagnoses.

Linda Carter, CNP

Linda Carter is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and graduate from Rivier University. Her extensive experience in the medical field began in 1979 when she obtained her RN Baccalaureate degree from SUNY Utica, NY. Linda earned her Master’s degree in Administration (MSA) with the Army Nurse Corps while practicing at Walter Reed Hospital in the Emergency Room and Cardiac, Thoracic, Medical-Surgical and Pediatric ICUs. Following successful military fulfillment, Captain Carter expanded her experience as a med-surg educator and as an administrator of a home health care agency. Linda continued in the education field instructing LNA’s while concurrently overseeing New Hampshire providers to ensure appropriate care to special needs individuals. Linda’s empathy for special needs situations led her to the field of drug addiction and recovery specialty. As well as a MSN, Board certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC), Linda is an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) credentialed in medication-assisted treatment (MAT) affording her the privilege to offer medications in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies to provide a “whole patient” approach to the treatment of substance abuse disorders.

Linda enjoys the calming effects of nature and the water while spending time at her family camp in northern NYS and sailing off the coast of Boston, MA with her husband and daughter.

Anna Coulstring is an ANCC board-certified Nurse Practitioner who joined Square Medical Group – Weymouth in 2011. She received her Bachelor & Master of Science in Nursing from MGH Institute of Health Professions. Her clinical interests include addiction medicine, influence of the media on health & body image and obesity/weight management.

Anna has been working in primary care & addiction medicine since 2010. She currently provides medication management & therapeutic support to patients with Substance Use Disorders. She is a certified Buprenorphine prescriber and also supports patients on medications including Vivitrol & Sublocade. She wholeheartedly believes in supporting patients struggling with addiction to not be defined by this disease and gives them the resources needed to thrive in all areas of their lives. As a lifelong resident of the South Shore she is enjoying the privilege of giving back to her community through her current role at Square Medical.

Marlyn Jules, CNP

Marlyn Jules has been a Family Nurse Practitioner for over twenty-one years. She joined Square Medical Group in October of 2011 and practices in the Weymouth office, delivering care with compassion and bringing hope to patients with ‘substance use disorders.’
She acquired her master’s degree from Northeastern University and received her clinical training at Beth Israel, Children’s Hospital and numerous clinics in the Boston area. Marlyn has received the “Clinical Excellence Award in Nursing” from the Massachusetts Nurses Association. She has worked as an adjunct faculty member for nursing at the Roxbury Community College, teaching clinical and laboratory components for over twenty-one years. She is an avid gardener and brisk walker.

Marlyn has served in the roles of nursing supervisor, manager, educator, mentor and Quality Assurance professional. She enjoyed being the featured speaker at nursing graduations in the US and as a nursing workshop facilitator in the Caribbean.

Jennifer Kania, CNP

Jennifer A. Kania is ANCC board- certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ 2011, and Master of Science in Nursing from Rivier University in Nashua, NH 2018. She joined the US Army Reserves as a commissioned officer from 2012 to 2015 as part of the Army Nurse corps and Medical corps.

Jennifer provided 7 years of nursing care in various settings- medical/surgical, telemetry/cardiology and psychiatry before becoming a Nurse Practitioner in 2018. Jennifer worked at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital- Milton, MA, Walden Behavioral health center-Waltham, MA, Bournewood psychiatric hospital- Chestnut Hill, MA, and University of New Mexico Medical Group Behavioral Health Clinic-Rio Rancho, NM.

Areas of interest include Trauma, PTSD, Eating disorders, Anxiety, Panic disorders, Depression, Bipolar disorders, Insomnia, Adjustment disorders, ADHD, ADD, OCD, Stress, Psychotic disorders, Anger issues, LGBQT health, racial minority issues and Substance Use disorders. Jennifer is also a certified Suboxone provider.

Jennifer believes in providing a holistic and individualized care tailored to the specific needs of each patient. She combines psychopharmacology and brief counselling as much as time allows in each encounter. Languages spoken: English, German, & Twi.

Conor Larson, CNP

Conor Larson is an ANCC board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross, and a Bachelor and Master of Science in Nursing from the MGH Institute of Health Professions. His clinical interests include how music affects brain plasticity, and its usefulness in processing trauma, improving motivation, and regulating emotions. He has been playing guitar for over 15 years.

Conor's clinical experience includes running individual and group supportive counseling sessions through MGH, and as a psychiatric liaison on an inpatient medical floor at Whittier rehabilitation hospital. He is certified to provide buprenorphine treatment to patients with Substance Use Disorder.

Lanre Adekeye, LMHC

Lanre Adekeye, bilingual in English and Yoruba, has over 20 years of clinical work, including supervisory positions. Adekeye specializes in Dual Diagnosis, OCD, Eating disorders, counseling AIDS patients, addictions, couples and families, and group therapy. He also works with children age five through adolescence, with a specialty in ADHD. He completed his graduate education in Counseling Psychology at Lesley University where he specialized in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Spirituality. He is a proud member of the American Society of Group Psychotherapy and Psychodrama (ASGPP), and the Massachusetts Mental Health Counselors Association. Lanre sees Square Medical Group patients in both the Watertown and Weymouth locations.

Claudia Dupre

Claudia Dupré, currently a Masters Level Clinician will be applying for licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, LMHC in January 2022.  She graduated from Cambridge College with a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling.  She did her practicum at Saint Anthony Shrine’s Father Mychal Judge Recovery Center in Boston in 2018 and her internship with Square Medical Group in 2019. Claudia has been working as a full-time therapist with Square Medical Group since January 2020 and sees patients from both Watertown and Weymouth. 
 
Claudia brings strong interpersonal skills and a lot of life experience to her clinical role and is able to connect with patients of all ages.  She was a former Realtor for many years and prior to that enjoyed a career in Software Sales.

Patricia Larson, LICSW

Patricia Larson LICSW is a Board Certified Licensed Independent Social Worker who has been in practice for over 30 years. She graduated from Salem State College with a BA in Psychology and an MSW from Boston College School of Social Work. She did her Internships at Tewksbury State Hospital and at McLean Hospital in the Psychotic Disorders Unit. She has worked at the Carney Hospital in Dorchester, MA doing both Inpatient and Outpatient Work. She also worked at Charles River Counseling Services in Newton, MA for many years doing Outpatient Work.

Pat specializes in working with Adults around Anxiety, Depressive Disorders, and Substance Abuse. She also enjoys working with Clients in Bereavement and with Schizophrenia. She has been with Square Medical since July 2015 and works in the Watertown Office.

Samantha Ricci

Samantha Ricci is a Master’s Level Clinical Social Worker and is a therapist at Square Medical Group. Samantha graduated summa cum laude with her Master of Social Work (MSW) and a clinical specialization in Trauma and Interpersonal Violence from The Simmons University School of Social Work. Samantha holds a BFA from Tufts University. Her clinical interests and areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, trauma, LGBTQIA+ issues, gender-affirming care, grief, self-esteem building, and substance use. Samantha provides outpatient care to individuals, couples, and groups using modalities such as strengths-based approaches, CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems, and narrative therapy.

Salwa Galal is a master’s level mental health clinician having received her graduate education in Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University, with a focus on holistic treatment, spirituality, and treating addictions. She is also bilingual in English and Arabic. Salwa joined Square Medical group in 2020 and is now the Intensive Outpatient Program manager for both Watertown and Weymouth.

Pearl Morgovsky is Mental Health Counselor specializing in Individual and Family Therapy. She completed her Masters at William James College with concentration in Family and Couples Therapy. She did her Internships at McLean Hospital at Waverly Place Program and at Square Medical.  Ms. Morgovsky works in EFT (Emotional Focus Therapy) modality, Solution Focus Therapy and DBT.

Ms. Morgovsky has years of experience working with older adults and families dealing with illnesses related to dementia, memory loss, and depression. She also enjoys working with couples, going through difficulties in their marriage.
